Through the TAFE National Quality Initiative, TDA offers its members a number of different quality services.
High quality vocational courses benefit students, employers, and society as a whole. This initiative helps our members build capacity to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessments.
Initially targeting 3 subject areas, the Initiative focussed in all cases of national, expert validation of the three projects’ outputs.
Training and assessment (TAE)
This project aimed to help member institutes improve capacity and staff capability for teaching, learning, and assessment, with a focus on the development and meaningful implementation of a staff capability framework. Participating institutes were asked to undertake a self-assessment, and were provided with constructive feedback.
Early childhood education and care (CHC)
This project sought to support more holistic delivery by providing guidance on how to effectively cluster assessments across units of competency.
Information and communication technology (ICT)
The aim of this project was to help our members educate and train more effective graduates by integrating sector-specific employability skills into their courses.
