Land Care Tender Consortium

Recently a consortia of 4 TAFE colleges spanning Victoria, Qld and Western Australia recently submitted a joint response to tender calling for the delivery of accredited training to Landcare coordinators across the nation by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

The consortium consisting of:

  • Bendigo Regional Institute of Tafe (Vic),
  • East Gippland Institute of Tafe (Vic),
  • Moreton Institute of Tafe (Qld) and
  • Challenger Tafe WA in conjunction with Pilbara Tafe

Collaborated via teleconferencing and email in developing the tender response the consortium experienced a new opportunity for Tafe Institutes to work collaboratively together. Whilst the consortium are yet to hear if they have been successful in their tender response, the benefits of developing professional networks with colleagues from Tafe Institutes across Australia was as beneficial to the consortia as the opportunity to respond to the DAFF tender itself.
