STRONG TAFE INVOLVEMENT IN RTO STAR RATING SCHEME

Since the launch of The Institute of Trade Skills Excellence (ITSE) Star Rating Scheme, approximately 70% of the 90 applications received have been from TAFE Institutes. In particular, there has been strong participation from TAFE Institutes in NSW, VIC and WA. TAFE Directors Australia congratulates those that have received Gold Stars and encourages those Institutes that haven't taken advantage of the free evaluation phase to participate. TAFE MARKETING CONFERENCE & AWARDS

The Australian TAFE Marketing Association's National Conference will be held at The Stamford Grand, Glenelg South Australia, 14 to 16 November. The Conference will feature keynote speakers including marketing and communications specialists Robyn Moore, Michael Kiely, Glenn Cooper and Steve Brown, as well as a range of informative breakout sessions. The Awards for Marketing Excellence will be the highlight of the Conference Dinner on Thursday 15 November. TAFE Marketing personnel are encouraged to attend this key event. DUSSELDORP RELEASES FUTURE DIRECTIONS STRATEGY

The Dusseldorp Skills Forum has released its strategic directions for 2007 to 2011. The strategy will re-focus on building on workforce knowledge and skills necessary for environmentally sustainable development. This series of Research Forums will showcase a suite of research investigating how partnerships aimed at integrating learning with local employment needs can help regional areas achieve sustainable economic growth and build social capital.

  • how to match learning programs to local skill needs 
  • how to develop effective VET partnerships with local government, non-government agencies, businesses and industry clusters.
