The report shows the extraordinary contrast between public expenditure on ATCs and Federal input to the State/Territory VET systems. According the ANAO data, more than $550 million has been allocated to operate 28 ATC colleges, however only two of the colleges have met enrolment targets in 2007. In a press release from TDA, Chief Executive Martin Riordan, said the imbalance in spending, poor enrolments in ATCs and the hasty choice of the education model justifies a review of ATC contracts and re-opening of tenders.
