WYONG TAFE UPGRADES - OFFICIAL OPENING

 The Federal Minister for Vocational and Further Education, the Hon. Andrew Robb AO MP and Virginia Judge, Parliamentary Secretary to the NSW Minister for Education and Training (pictured) have officially opened significant upgrade in facilities at TAFE Hunter Institute’s Wyong Campus (NSW).
The new upgrades are a part of a $2.7 million Australian Government investment and will accommodate 1,800 students.

NCVER STUDY ON MOTIVATIONS TO ENTER APPRENTICESHIPS

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) has published a study titled ‘Doing an apprenticeship: What young people think’.

GTA RELEASES ELECTION STATEMENT

Group Training Australia has released its 2007 election statement: ‘Maximising Gains: Adding Value – a stronger role for group training in skills development’.

The statement outlines a series of initiatives calls for greater recognition of mentoring in VET and a funding boost to the Joint Group Training Program to increase funding to $100 million.
