DEEWR Information Sessions on VET FEE-HELP Arrangements
The Department of Employment, Education and Workplace Relations has commissioned TDA to organise and make arrangements for information sessions for TAFE Institutes on the new VET FEE-HELP arrangements. Any TAFE Institute contemplating seeking VET Approved Provider status for purposes of students being able to obtain FEE-HELP loans should be represented at one of these sessions.
Sessions will be held around the country as follows:
Canberra - Tuesday 3 June at 10.00am at the TDA offices (for CIT)
Perth - Thursday 5 June from 1.00pm to 6.00pm at the "Pagoda A Room", 112 Melville Parade, Como
Melbourne - Friday 13 June from 10.00am to 4.30pm at the Angliss Conference Centre corner of King and La Trobe
Streets at Building A, level 5, 555 La Trobe Street.
Sydney - Monday 16 June from 9.00am to 3.30pm at the "Central" Conference Room, Mercure Sydney, 818-820 George St.
Brisbane - Friday 20 June from 10.00am to 4.30pm. Southbank Institute of Technology Restaurant. Level 2, C block, 66 Ernest St Southbank.
Adelaide - Tuesday 8 July from 10.00am to 4.30pm (CBD venue to be advised)
Registration will be necessary for attendance and the attached registration form should be completed and returned to
TDA.
The information sessions will be led by officials from the Higher Skills Branch of DEEWR and will be necessarily detailed and technical in presentation. It is suggested that appropriate attendees will be those persons who will have direct responsibility for completing the application forms for seeking VET Approved Provider status pursuant to the
Higher Education Support Act 2003. It may be necessary to limit numbers per institute if demand is high.
At the information sessions, TDA will also present full details on its new Tuition Assurance Scheme, designed to satisfy all tuition assurance obligations of providers seeking VET Approved Provider status.
A registration form is available by clicking here. Please complete ASAP and return by fax (02) 6205 1288 or email
memberservices@tda.edu.au
For further information contact Penny Lawrance, TDA Membership Services Manager on (02) 6205 4600. All registrations will be acknowledged and a confirmatory notice sent with full details on session arrangements. Sessions are free of charge.
