TAFEs and Full Fee Paying Students
Vocational Education and Training
Under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (the Standards), as government entities, TAFEs meet the requirements for protecting fees prepaid by individual learners, or prospective learners, for services, if that TAFE has implemented a policy addressing learner fee protection arrangements.
See Standard 7.3 for prepaid fees in excess of $1500 as set out in the requirements in Schedule 6 of the Standards.
TAFEs that have domestic students in higher education programs, who are not in receipt of a Commonwealth student tuition loan, are members of TDA’s tuition assurance scheme for the purpose of these students in these circumstances, on the basis the TAFE is a current member of TDA.
Non-TAFE Registered Training Organisations
Non-TAFE training organisations may stay connected with TDA as an Associate Member Organisation. TDA also offers individual Associate Membership and Corporate Affiliate membership.
