About our membership
TDA enjoys membership from Institutes across all Australia's states and territories, and "TDA" now is the body representing the TAFE sector on Australia's vocational education qualifications and policy bodies. It provides members with a number of benefits, including:
- a forum for cooperation and exchange
- opportunities for their own professional development in a peer setting
- a mechanism to coordinate national representation of TAFE on key committees and boards
- a mechanism to make effective national input into policy formation.
There are three types of membership:
- Full Membership with voting rights is open to TAFE directors or equivalent.
- Associate Membership with non voting rights is open to TAFE professional bodies and VET sector organisations or institutions.
- Individual Membership is open to former TAFE directors and retired senior TAFE executives, and eminent VET sector individuals.
Membership Fees
The TDA membership fee structure is based on the number of total student contact hours at a particular institute – for the table of membership categories see below
