Information for Careers Australia Students
Careers Australia has advised that all training and work placements have been cancelled, and the administrator has decided to close Careers Australia.
TAFE Directors Australia (TDA) operates the Tuition Assurance Scheme for Careers Australia. This scheme is designed to assist eligible domestic VET students in the event that Careers Australia ceases to operate.
What you should do
It is important that you provide TDA with your contact details to ensure you receive information as it becomes available.
- You should provide your name, phone, email, course and campus via email to TDA@tafe.qld.edu.au
- TDA has also established a call centre where you can speak with an adviser. The number is (07) 3307 4789.
We know this will be a stressful time for many students of Careers Australia, but the TAFE sector is doing its utmost to minimise the dislocation, and find alternative training providers if that becomes necessary.
Our first priority is to collect details so that we can be in touch once the future of Careers Australia is determined by the administrator.
This page will be updated regularly. You can stay informed by visiting www.tda.edu.au
International students are assisted by a separate scheme - the Tuition Protection Service. More information can be found at the website.
Meetings for domestic students
A series of meetings for domesrtic students of Careers Australia were held in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane in June.
If you were unable to attend a session and have not yet registered your details, please contact the TDA call centre on (07) 3307 4789 or at email@example.com.
