Policies
TAFE Directors Australia provides its members with a
mechanism to make effective national input to policy formation. TDA
contributes to various policy forums, including to policy formulation
initiated and coordinated by the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST).
TDA has jointly developed policy with the Industry Skills Councils,
the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) and
the Enterprise Registered Training Organisation Forum (ERTOF) for
"Protocols for Industry Skills Councils' Engagement with Registered
Training Organisations". Refer to joint Media Release (25 November 2005) [PDF

TDA has a MOU with the China Education Association for International Exchange
(CEAIE), to March 2008, for cooperation in the promotion of academic
links and partnerships between institutions in the VET sector of the
two countries.
